Catherine Sloss Jones is President and CEO of Sloss Real Estate, an urban redevelopment firm founded by her grandfather in 1920. Achievements include: Pepper Place, a vibrant mixed-use design district in Lakeview, home to a farmers market  Jones founded with 10,000 weekly visitors; Park Place, Birmingham’s first HOPE VI project, which transformed degraded public housing into a city jewel; One Federal Place, a prominent office building and pocket park; renovating the Young and Vann Building and other historic structures throughout the city.

Boards include the Lakeshore Foundation, Birmingham Museum of Art, and Sloss Furnaces. She chairs Lakeview Business Association and Urban Land Institute – Alabama Chapter, and is faculty for the Daniel Rose Fellowship, working with mayors nationwide. She attended Harvard as a Loeb Fellow, and visiting scholar at its GSD.

Honors include: Businesswoman of the Year (BBJ), Women Who Make A Difference Award (Birmingham News), Award for Excellence (ULI Atlanta) and Executives of Influence Award (BBJ).
