Advancing Your Career through Mentors and Sponsors (panelist)

Developing strong mentorships and sponsorships is key to advancement and success for women leaders, yet many face barriers in accessing these connections. This session will provide strategies for cultivating meaningful mentor/sponsor relationships that will enhance your career development. We will discuss tactics for getting connected to high-level leaders invested in advancing diverse leaders, identifying the right mentors based on your goals, moving beyond surface-level career advice, and what to look for in an impactful mentor or sponsor.

About Dr. Kre

Dr. Ankrehah “Kre” Johnson is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. Dr. Kre is a proud graduate of Spelman College and has her Bachelor of Science in Biology. After leaving Spelman she took some time to transition before medical school and attended a post baccalaureate program at SIU at Carbondale in Illinois.. Dr. Kre completed her Family Medicine residency and training at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Immediately after residency Dr. Kre started her own practice Brownstone Healthcare.

She’s the Medical Director for the City of Birmingham Employee Clinic Brownstone BWell.
