Emily Abernathy serves as Senior Medicare Advantage Quality Management Analyst, at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in Birmingham, AL. Among her many duties, she assumes responsibility for ensuring compliance with Quality standards and regulations required by accrediting and regulatory agencies; examining Quality performance results for our Federal Employee Program and rating system; and identifying potential interventions to improve overall Quality performance. She completed her undergraduate degree in Commerce and Business Administration at The University of Alabama. Emily enjoys’ spending time with her husband Brent and their three children, Reid, Mary Britton & Wyatt.
