Melody Banks

Melody Banks is the National Director, HR Operations for Encompass Health.  She provides oversight to a full range of operational strategies and duties related to HR. Ms. Banks is a strategic and relational leader with over 20 years of executive experience and accomplishments in all components of Human Resources, Operations and Leadership Development.  Her mission is to create viable business solutions to organizations for human resources while serving as a contributing, strategic business partner.  Her approach is to create individual solutions to meet corporate, strategic, compliance, and cultural initiatives.

Ms. Banks received her Bachelor Business Administration (BBA) and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Faulkner University, and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Birmingham School of Law. She is a member of the Alabama Bar Association.  Ms. Banks is also a certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She was the recipient of the Top HR Executive Award and Top HR Innovator Award from the Birmingham Business Journal. Ms. Banks has been active in numerous professional and civic endeavors.

Ms. Banks is passionate about diversity, inclusion and equity.  She strives to positively spearhead, contribute and partner with other allies to ensure she positively impacts all inclusion efforts.
