Executive Vice President / Chief Strategy Officer

Nan Priest is the President of the MAP Board of Directors, a member of the 2016 Conference Steering Committee and a Pacesetter on the Honor Roll of Women’s Leadership.

Nan Priest is a healthcare executive with broad based experience in strategy and business development, healthcare design/construction, marketing, advocacy and government relations, managed healthcare, physician practice management and clinical management.  Ms. Priest is currently Executive Vice President of Strategy for St. Vincent’s Health System.  St. Vincent’s Health System is a regional market of Ascension Health and includes the Birmingham, East, Blount and St. Clair campuses, St. Vincent’s One Nineteen Health and Wellness as well as a comprehensive clinically integrated network.

Ms. Priest, currently is chair of the Birmingham AHA Go Red Executive Leadership Team, Chair of the Momentum Alumnae Board, Chair of the Kiwanis Youth of the Year Committee and recent past chair of the State of Alabama Women’s Health Steering Committee. Ms. Priest is also a member of Leadership Birmingham Class of 2004, Momentum Class 2006 and a member of the Alabama Hospital Association Regulatory Committee.  Ms. Priest also participates in the following organizations:  American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Kiwanis Club of Birmingham, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Ms. Priest is active in her church, The Church at Brook Hills.  Ms. Priest is a graduate of UAB with a BS Degree in Nursing and a Masters in Health Administration.
