Kim was born in Charleston, SC. Her family moved to Birmingham where she attended Shades Valley High School. She attended UAB, obtaining a BA in Accounting and an MBA, and became a Certified Public Accountant while working with Ernst and Young. Her experience by far is in the field of healthcare, with 30 + years of experience where she is able to assist, indirectly, with healing and the return to community of patients, and the support and development of clinicians in that goal. Her focus is operational metrics, processes, and financial navigation for the hospitals.
