Candie Mitchell-Price

Candie A. Mitchell-Price is a dynamic professional, a proud native of Philadelphia, PA, and Chief Communications Officer for New Schools for Alabama, a non-profit committed to supporting excellent public charter schools in Alabama to ensure that every child has access to a quality public education. A former middle and high school teacher for Birmingham City Schools and 2018 Teach for America Corps Alum, Candie is known as “Your PR Diva” and is a strategist and branding coach for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations. With a keen eye for public relations, marketing, social media, and branding strategies, Candie excels in one-on-one personal and business coaching. Candie is also a serial entrepreneur and the former owner of The Candie Jar, a natural body care business, and Priceless PR & Marketing Consulting. She has authored two books, First Lady: The Real Truth and He Restoreth My Soul, as well as several ebooks, and is the Founder/Editor-in-Chief of WOW! (Women of the Word) Magazine (being released again January 2025). Her latest book, Straight Outta Brokenness: And It Didn’t Kill Me will be released on October 1, 2024. Candie graduated magna cum laude and with University Honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies specializing in Public Relations. She also holds a Master’s in Christian Education and a Master’s in Public Relations. Candie has delivered talks at local and national women’s retreats, conferences, and workshops. She is also the wife of Rev. Arthur Price, Jr., the pastor of the historic 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. With her vast experience and commitment to education and entrepreneurship, Candie is a true inspiration and a valuable asset to any organization or individual looking to build their brand and achieve success.
