Debra Nelson

Debra Nelson is President, Elevate Communications, a professional development and communication services firm. Previously, she was Head of Corporate Communications at Brasfield & Gorrie and Vice President Diversity & Inclusion at MGM Resorts International. Additionally, Debra held executive appointments at Mercedes-Benz companies and DaimlerChrysler, and in higher education and broadcast media. She serves on the boards of Noland Health Services, WBHM Public Radio, and the Board of Visitors for the College of Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama (UA). She is a member of the President’s Cabinet at UA.
