Joi Foy

Joi joined Momentum as Member Engagement Coordinator in June 2025. Joi earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Sport Management from Ohio University. During her time in Ohio, Joi gained interest in advocacy for minority and underrepresented communities. As a third and fourth year, Joi was president of the student organization Ebony Minds. The organization served the campus and local community by educating them on issues black women were facing both on the local and national scale. Through the organization, Joi was able to bring events for the entire campus community to support the organization’s mission including mentorship, community service and engagement opportunities.

As a Birmingham native, Joi is excited to be back home and brings the same enthusiasm to serving the alumna of Momentum as she did to Ebony Minds. Outside of work, Joi loves spending time with family, journaling and cooking.
