Karin Allen

Karin Allen is Regions’ Chief Accounting Officer and leads SEC reporting, financial statement-related regulatory reporting, a quality assurance function, and the monthly financial statement close process. Regions is a regional bank that operates throughout the South, Midwest and Texas and is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala.

Allen joined Regions in 2004 and has held several positions in the Controller’s Division related to accounting policy and external reporting.

She began her career at Arthur Andersen, where she spent 11 years managing external audit and attestation engagements for large regional banking institutions, community banks, and not-for-profit entities. Later, she joined KPMG LLP and then SouthTrust Bank, where she had a leadership role in accounting policy and reporting.

Allen graduated from Auburn University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member the Alabama Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. She has 4 children and is active in her church.
