Karla Khodanian

Karla Khodanian leads as the Birmingham Business Alliance’s Chief Communications Officer, where she empowers the community with the compelling stories that make the Greater Birmingham Region a great place for all businesses to start, stay and succeed. In this capacity, she drives the organization’s marketing and communications strategies, including the advancement of meaningful programs and events.
Karla’s passion for her community combined with her relentless commitment to results ignites a spark in everyone she meets. Prior to joining the BBA in 2020, Karla worked as marketing, communications and branding consultant at advertising agencies, technology startups and nonprofits across the Southeast. A native of Huntsville, Ala., Karla attended college in Birmingham and has enthusiastically remained in the Magic City ever since. She graduated in 2014 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a bachelor’s degree in communications, specializing in public relations.
