Katie Kimbrell

Katie Kimbrell’s diverse practice focuses on corporate, securities, and financial services. Katie counsels clients in all phases of business, including formation, due diligence, regulatory compliance, securities and, litigation. She regularly advises clients in a wide variety of complex transactions and in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, as well as energy and public utility clients. Additionally, Katie has extensive experience providing counsel on compliance and regulatory issues in highly-regulated industries and self-regulatory organizations (SROs).
Katie has over a decade of experience providing guidance on securities issues in corporate transactions and securities offerings. She regularly advises clients on securities compliance and regulatory matters, as well as federal and state securities rules and regulations. She also represents numerous broker-dealers, registered investment advisers (RIAs) and financial institutions in litigation and arbitration, including before FINRA.
Katie currently serves as Balch & Bingham’s Women’s Initiative Chair. She also serves as Chair of the Business Section for the Birmingham Bar Association.
