Laura Markus

Laura Markus serves as a Senior Recruiting Consultant for Southern Nuclear Company in Birmingham, AL. She is responsible for all corporate recruiting initiatives and strategy supporting the Birmingham office and the Nuclear sites. Among her many duties, she is also the VP of an employee resource group POW! (Power of Women) and the Volunteer Chair for NAYN (North American Young Generation in Nuclear). Laura has 15 years of experience in recruiting, teaching, and job placement. She holds a master’s degree in Education and English from Samford University and a bachelor’s degree in English from UAB. She is married to her husband, Adam, of 10 years, and they have two sweet boys Lincoln (3) and Julian (9 months). In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, and cook.
