Meesha Emmett

Meesha Emmett is a passionate mental health advocate with a love for community. A Florence, Alabama native, Meesha received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from The University of Alabama. She has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, working primarily in communications and fundraising. She now works as the Alabama Area Director for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), where she served as a volunteer for nine years. Meesha currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Investment Network (CIN) and the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). She is the DEI Chair for The Junior League of Birmingham and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
