About Michael: 

Michael is a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham where he majored in Accounting. He also received his Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law in 1993 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar during that same year. Michael Patterson began his career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in 1986 as an Accountant. He has also served as Vice President of Legal Services, General Counsel, Senior Vice President, and currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Michael was also appointed and served as Revenue Commissioner for the State of Alabama from March 2000 until August 2001. Michael and his wife, Barvette, have two daughters.
