Sheila Herringdon

Sheila Herringdon is Senior Vice President, Enterprise Resources, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. She has been in this role since 2024.

Mrs. Herringdon has been with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for over 26 years serving in various roles including Vice President, Human Resources; Vice President, Business Development; Director of Quality, Risk and Plan Performance; and as the Internal Audit Director and Corporate Compliance Officer. Sheila, a graduate of Auburn University, is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.

Her professional affiliations include memberships with the Institute of Internal Auditors, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and The Alabama State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She serves on the Birmingham Corp Board. She is a graduate of Leadership Birmingham and the Momentum Women’s Leadership Program. She is an Advisory Board Member with Oasis Counseling for Women and Children.
