Susan Warren

Susan, as the Director of Strategy and Project Management supports all divisions of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama by providing specialized management consulting expertise to advance the performance of the Company. The Strategy and Project Management area leads enterprise processes that create the corporate strategic plan and enterprise project portfolios, drives strategy development and enterprise-wide project management, and manages enterprise risk and corporate insurance. Susan works closely with senior leadership in determining the corporate strategy and identifying the pipeline of projects that have the greatest impact to organizational success. Prior to 2009, Susan was a Unit Manager in Application Development where she led enterprise projects such as HIPAA, Y2K and Interplan System between all National Blue Plans. Susan started her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in the spring of 1989 after graduating with a BS is Computer Based Management Systems from the University of Alabama. Susan is also certified as a Balanced Scorecard Professional including expertise in Key Performance Indicators and Performance Measurement.
