Teia Hill

Teia J. Hill is a dedicated social work professional, entrepreneur, and community leader with more than 13 years of experience serving children, families, and vulnerable populations throughout Alabama. She currently serves as a Social Work Supervisor with the Alabama Department of Human Resources and is the proud owner of Sitting Pretty by TeiaJay LLC. Teia is also an apprentice with Dante Jelks Funeral Home as she pursues her passion for funeral service.

The daughter of Teresa Hill, Teia is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and serves as a Board Member of the Valley Pearls Service Foundation. In 2026, she was recognized as a Southeastern Region 40 Under 40 Award Recipient for her dynamic leadership, professional excellence, and meaningful community impact.

She holds degrees from Miles College and The University of Alabama and is currently pursuing a degree in Mortuary Science at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.
