Tiffany Owens
Tiffany Owens, a Birmingham native, is an accomplished Organizational Development Leader with more than 21 years of progressive local government experience. Tiffany is committed to helping departments thrive by developing people and aligning talent to meet operational needs. She is known for her strategic thinking, exceptional coaching abilities and passion for fostering a culture of growth and service excellence.
Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of North Alabama and Master of Art degree in Public and Private Management from Birmingham-Southern College. Throughout her career, Tiffany has identified top talent, designed, and developed learning strategies, and created programs that aligned people capabilities with business objectives.
Tiffany is fully enthralled in her work with Jefferson County Commissions General Services Department, where she manages the administrative division, learning and organizational development efforts and leads the department-wide continuous improvement efforts. Ms. Owens is HR certified, holding a SHRM-CP designation, Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, a licensed Realtor and is a recent graduate of the National Association of Counties (NACo) High Performance Leadership Master Certificate. Tiffany is a lifelong learner, committed to developing people, pursuing the organization’s best interests, and leading with passion and integrity.
In addition to her fast-paced day job, Tiffany enjoys serving the community through volunteer opportunities. She currently acts as a Run Coach with Girls on the Run, a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization, dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential. Girls on the Run is an opportunity for Tiffany to couple her passion for running with a desire to make a difference in the lives of young girls. Tiffany is also a mother of a smart and active teen son, Aiden. They enjoy sports, traveling and family gatherings.
