This past May, Momentum Leaders proudly celebrated the graduation of three outstanding cohorts across the state of Alabama. These inspiring ceremonies were a testament to the strength, resilience, and promise of women leaders shaping our communities and industries. Each event brought together local leaders, alumni, and supporters to honor the achievements of our graduates and inspire continued growth beyond the program.
Huntsville Executive Class 3 – A Rising Force in North Alabama
On May 9, 2025, Momentum celebrated the graduation of Executive Class 3 in Huntsville at the Redstone Federal Credit Union. This dynamic cohort of leaders came together to mark the culmination of their leadership development journey.
Momentum Board Member Amy George opened the ceremony with a warm welcome and acknowledgments of the class’s accomplishments. Dr. Annie Saylor, President and CEO of SimTech, served as the featured speaker. Her inspiring address encouraged graduates to carry forward the skills and relationships cultivated during their Momentum experience.
Birmingham Graduation – A Celebration of Vision and Impact
On May 16, 2025, Momentum’s Birmingham class gathered for a powerful graduation ceremony at the Alabama Power headquarters. The afternoon kicked off with a heartfelt safety message from Therena Smith, followed by a welcome from Momentum CEO April Benetollo, who shared her reflections on the cohort’s journey and future impact.
Katrina Watson, Board Chair, added a powerful message from the Board, reinforcing Momentum’s commitment to building inclusive leadership throughout Alabama. The keynote speaker, Janet Kavinoky, captivated the audience with her insights on navigating change and leading with courage in today’s evolving business landscape.
The highlight of the event was the formal presentation of the graduates, led by Lindsey Setzer and April Benetollo. The ceremony closed with remarks from Setzer, wrapping up an afternoon filled with energy, empowerment, and heartfelt connections. Graduates and guests then enjoyed an optional meet and greet, celebrating the completion of an unforgettable leadership experience.
