Tasha Cox, an alumna of Momentum Works Class One, Cohort One, has over 10 years of experience in the medical field and currently serves as Analyst, Market Support Champion at ArchWell Health. Her journey with Momentum began through a colleague who was an alumna of Upward. Initially hesitant and unsure of what to expect, Tasha applied and was accepted into our first Momentum Works class. After her first class session, she immediately felt she was exactly where she needed to be, grateful for the information, confirmation, affirmation, and accountability she received. Now, as an alumna, she graciously gives back to the program to ensure others have the same transformative experience.
“Where I come from, a lot of women don’t have role models. We learn to just wing it. I’m proud of myself and recognize that I’ve accomplished a lot on my own, but being surrounded by other Momentum women who poured so much into me was everything I feel like I was missing from my life.”

Tasha didn’t know any of the women in her cohort before sessions began, but now she lovingly refers to them as her “sister-friends.” She’s thankful to be surrounded by like-minded women who have her back at all times.
“I feel like I’m looking in a mirror when I see the women in my cohort—they’re going through the same struggles, on the same journey, and sometimes we even finish each other’s sentences, thinking the same thoughts as we try to break out of the box and find the next level of success.”
Tasha’s biggest takeaway from the program came from a session by Tonya Hill Mitchell on authenticity. She realized she had been stuck in inauthenticity, feeling unaccepted when she tried to be herself. Tonya’s message helped her understand that if a circle didn’t accept her for who she was, she wasn’t in the right place. Inspired, Tasha decided to shed her protective shields and embrace her true self—confident and driven. She applied this mindset at work and earned a promotion.
“I’m not the same woman that I was when I walked into my first cohort back in July. If you are someone who is seeking to be a better version of yourself, then entering this program will start that journey, and sky’s the limit to where it will lead.”
She is now a monthly Momentum donor, helping ensure other women have the same opportunities she did.
“I wanted to give back to women like me who wouldn’t have the chance to be in the program. If I could help another young woman experience this awakening—boosting her self-esteem and self-awareness—I was willing to invest, whether it was time, money, or whatever it took.”
