Reframing Flaws

Everyone has flaws. Yes, even the seemingly perfect co-worker, the social butterfly, or the most brilliant leader- they too have their fair share of struggles and insecurities. However, these flaws have the potential to be reframed in a positive light.

In her article titled Why Your “Flaws” Are Your Best Leadership Gifts, Kelli Thompson describes how to shift your perspective by viewing your flaws through a “situationally savvy” lens. Simply reframe the so-called “flaw” with its mitigating action. This mindset looks like saying “because I am assertive, I tackle hard challenges most people shy away from.” What you perceive as a “flaw” may actually be one of your greatest strengths!
