At Momentum, we strive for our alumnae to carry the lessons from our programs beyond their program time. Tambra Clark exemplifies this ongoing growth.
Tambra participated in the inaugural Momentum Works Class 1 Cohort in 2024. At the time, she was a library media specialist at South Hampton Elementary School. She had a passion for creating a STEM-based library and opening a 3D printing hub for her students.
“Through the Momentum Works program, I learned about emotional intelligence and showing up as my best self.”
Since completing Momentum Works, Tambra has been promoted to Technology Integration Facilitator for Birmingham City Schools, where she supports educators across the entire district. She has also received several recognitions, including:
– Miles College 50 Under 50
– Business Birmingham’s Alabama Top 25 Women in Tech
– Selection for the Library of Congress Summer Teacher Institute in Washington, D.C.
Beyond her professional advancement, Tambra shared that the most valuable aspect of her Momentum Works experience was the network she gained.
“Being around a new network of professional women with the same mindset has been life-changing. We have stayed connected through a bond that will never been broken – a true sisterhood that continues to uplift and inspire each other.”
Tambra is currently pursuing a doctorate in education and organizational leadership at Samford University. She attributes the lessons and confidence gained through Momentum as an integral part of her continued development.
“Thank you for seeing potential in me, for creating a space where women can grow and thrive, and for building a program that truly changes lives. The first cohort was just the beginning, and I’m so proud to be part of the Momentum Works legacy.”
Momentum Works is now in its second year and will serve 100 underserved women by year end, completely tuition-free. You can learn more about this life-changing program here.
