20 Years of Momentum: Necole Ezell

In August of 2020, Necole Ezell was new to her role as VP Head of Acquisition Integrations IT at Protective Life. At the height of the pandemic, she was navigating new responsibilities, requirements, and a new team.

She said our Executive Leadership Program came at just the right time.

“My class was virtual, and it allowed us to go through the dynamics of the pandemic together. Not only were we able to connect on a personal level, but we were able to work through what it all meant from a work perspective, from a personal perspective, and a leadership perspective,” Necole shared.

Necole says that one of the most important outcomes was the confidence and belonging she gained after going through our programs.

“Momentum enabled me to know that I belonged. I belonged in the rooms that I was in, I had value, and that what I had to say would drive forward the organization in a positive way,” she added.

In addition, Necole says she continues to be impacted by the network she gained through Momentum, as well as other key lessons like work-life integration.

“Momentum helped me understand how to integrate those two things in my life, and to be successful at both. That was huge for me,” Necole shared.

Thanks to our donors and corporate partners like Protective Life, hundreds of Alabama’s women realize their full potential just like Necole. In addition to our Executive and Upward Early-Career programs, our free community webinars, resources, and workshops inspire hundreds of local leaders annually to see new opportunities for growth and prosperity.
